“Corporations are people, too, my friend.” Except when they aren’t.

The principals, shareholders and employees of a corporation have a First Amendment right to worship as they wish, without government interference. The corporation itself doesn’t. It’s not a person. It can’t kneel. It can’t sing. It can’t pray.

A “corporate veil” limits a shareholder’s financial liabilities. We need something similar that limits what bosses can do to/with their employees.

Also, too: just imagine the right wing outcry (creeping sharia!) if a corporation owned and operated by Muslims directed its employees that they must vote for Muslim political candidates… or that they must keep halal.

What about a company owned by Jeohovah Witnesses? SInce they believe that blood transfusions are in direct contradiction to the Bible, wouldn’t they logically be able to opt out of covering blood transfusions for their employees? How about Scientologists, since they are opposed to psychological services as a matter of faith, should they be able to opt out of mental health care for their employees?

These people so anger me at times.

I recently found out that some of my employees were using their money to buy meat. This is against my religion so I stopped paying them.

Now President Barack Hussein Obamacare is telling me that I don’t get to practice my religion? This is an outrage!
